About The Guitar Instructor

I have been teaching guitar privately for over 25 years. One of the many benefits of private lessons is that it offers the opportunity to customize each lesson to the student’s personal needs. This individualized lesson format makes it possible for me to teach the foundations of music within the tastes and interests of each student so they can learn all their favorite songs while developing their skills as a guitarist and musician.

From my earliest teaching experiences I have found that the study of a musical instrument enriches ones life and I feel fortunate to be able to help and encourage people to play guitar and make music.

Teaching background:

In 1985  I started teaching guitar at a Villa Music located in the old South Glenn Mall. After Villa music closed I moved my students to a Crescendo Music which was locally owned music store near downtown Littleton. I taught there for many years until owner Steve Smith closed the doors in 2002. When  Crescendo closed I moved my students to Denver Music Institute for a couple years.

Since 2004 I have been teaching out of my own office space located on South Broadway in Littleton and typically maintain a full teaching schedule that is primarily referral based.

My wife Lisa and I are the proud owners of three dogs, one of which is a rescue. Our rescue dog Colette accompanies me to the studio on a regular basis.
